Gorgeous little South Sea Island is one of the treasures of the Mamanuca Islands. Crystal clear waters, coral reefs and thousands of colourful tropical fish surround the tiny island. Peppered with palm trees and surrounded by a coral lagoon, uninhabited South Sea Island is truly one of Fiji's gems. A day trip to South Sea Island is an easy 30 minute ferry ride from Denarau Marina with South Sea Cruises. The close location to Denarau means that you can make the most of the day lazing on the beach, snorkeling, diving and enjoying the many activities on offer. It may be small in size, but there is plenty to keep you entertained. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! There is a salt water swimming pool and non-motorised water sports equipment available free of charge, including kayaking and sailing. Overnight guests can stay in our 28-bed dorm or one of our three stylish new double-bedded bures with outdoor bathrooms. Get into 'island time' Great things come in small packages, which couldn't be truer for South Sea Island. Strolling from one side of the island to the other takes all of a minute but, small as it may be, you'll have no trouble finding your own spot in paradise. Hammocks sway peacefully under the cool shade of palm trees and there's plenty of sandy areas to relax under the trees. Catch some rays of sunshine with a cocktail or cool drink beside the pool, or take to the calm, clear waters with your snorkel to explore the magnificent underwater world below.

Discover the underwater world with hours of snorkeling or if you want to stay dry, jump onboard the semi-submersible coral viewer. Make sure you keep an eye out for Nemo! Introductory diving is a particular focus on this island with pretty reef formations and plentiful fish making it a first time diver's dream. Start in the pool and then explore the stunning coral gardens and the fish life surrounding the island on a 'Discover Scuba' intro dive. There is also plenty to keep certified divers amused, with several beach dives and a purposefully sunk shipwreck. Diving in this area you can encounter drop offs and wall dives with lots of hard corals, crystal clear water & large schools of pelagic fish.
