Toberua Island

Toberua Island, Fiji

Toberua Island is located 17 km from Suva Nausori Airport. A scenic 30-minute boat ride down Navaloa River takes guests to Bau Waters, where the resort is situated. Toberua only receives about one-third of Suva’s annual rainfall so the climate is balmy for most of the year, making it a popular weekend destination from Suva.

There are around 20 dive sites in the nearby Toberua Passage, with several reefs and coral gardens.

Set on a private island paradise, Toberua Island Resort offers thatched-roof bungalows situated by clear waters and white sands. It features a day spa, fitness facilities and indoor and outdoor dining areas. Overlooking the beach, the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining, and serves a combination of local and international cuisines. It specialises in seafood and New Zealand beef and lamb. Free morning and afternoon tea is offered to guests. Opening out to a terrace with stunning ocean views, tropical bungalows feature wood-beamed ceilings and indoor and outdoor shower areas. They are provided with a minibar, tea/coffee maker and hairdryerLeisurely afternoons can be spent with a massage or snorkelling in clear waters. The resort also has an outdoor pool and offers standup paddle boarding and kayaking facilities.

The 15 waterfront bure here scattered along the beach have gloriously high roofs, minibars, sun decks and stylish bathrooms. The sunset-facing bar and restaurant serves delicious fresh food, with homemade snacks at cocktail hour and afternoon tea. At low tide the beach is used for golf and there is snorkelling, paddle boating, and tours to the nearby bird sanctuary and mangroves.

Toberua has a PADI dive shop, and can offer certification.
